Join Beth Tikkun as we continue our study of the Haftarah portions for the 2013-14 Torah cycle. In this study we encounter the shortest of the Haftarah portions, but the one that requires the most background material. Here the life stories of David, Solomon, Joab, Abner, Amassa, Absalom, Barzillai, and Shemei all reach their culmination. As we trace each of these threads, a powerful insight emerges that helps us to understand how we are to properly participate in building God’s Kingdom.
